Paganini caprice 11

Keywords: Jack Glatzer The 11th caprice in C major begins with a noble, dignified, majestic opening section. [Music] We could say that in its use of multiple stops and polyphony and its grandiose gestures, this opening achieves a spirituality in the romantic style which we find in Bach in the baroque style. What's so interesting is the middle section, it's filled with surprises and unexpected witty experiences. Two rhythms are juxtaposed one against another, appointed rhythm dum-da-dum-da-dum almost filled with baroque energy and rhythmic vitality and then six notes very quickly da-da-da-da da-da-da-da and almost like a puzzle they're perfectly well put together. The left hand leaps from low notes to high at vertiginous speeds. [Music] And suddenly and very graciously Paganini leads us back to the noble melody to finish,L this one of the greatest caprices.
